White lettres in or out?

Grabber ATXs for the five-speed ZJ, for inquiring minds, in a 31x10.5r15. I’m heavily biased towards out, but you’ve got about an hour to sway me if it’s absolutely critical they go inwards.

Update: they went out. And some of you are hilariously wrong in thinking they ever could have gone in.

I’m a letters in kind of guy. I’ve never felt the need to advertise for a tire company unless they’re offering me contingency prize money to do so. In that case, I’ll throw the required decals on the race car . In terms of aesthetics , I’ve always thought white letters out just looks wrong on just about any truck after maybe 1985 or so . If I had to pin it to a guideline, I’d probably say any truck new enough that whitewall tires would look out of place on is also too new for white letters. I see both a relics of a bygone era.

All three of our cars have tyres with RWL and all were fitted by the tyre guys with the letters in without even asking.

Ah yeah, doesn’t work so wheel with a 4WD rotation pattern. On my 2WD car the manual said just rotate between front & back on the same side.

Directional tires are a thing, and you’d have to flip the tire around on the wheel to rotate it to the other side of that were the case. Although probably  you wouldn’t have a directional tire that was different between sides, because it would have to come in opposite pairs. But I deliberately don't buy directional tires.

I had the RWL facing out on my Niva too...but then I also had a ‘Do Not Overtake Overturning Vehicle’ and a ‘Please Don’t Honk - I Just Want To Rust In Pea ce’ bumper sticker on it .
